One of our primary goals is to make sure our classes are affordable and accessible for young sailors and their parents, and your donation makes that possible. There are a variety of ways to donate to SYSC, and every contribution makes a positive difference for our program.
Donations made to SYSC can be made in the form of cash or assets. All gifts can be directed to an area of your choosing - our Endowment Fund for the stability of the future of SYSC, Fleet Replacement, Scholarship Funds, Facility Advancement or General Operations. We are a 501(c)(3) organization, so all donations are tax deductible - and greatly appreciated!
Owen's Eagle Scout Project
Hello all, my name is Owen Smith. I am doing an Eagle Scout project at the Sheboygan Youth Sailing Center that will help out the center by creating more organization and space. I will be constructing a large cabinet to house merchandise, 30 cubbies for students’ personal items during class, and a large enclosed whiteboard that will hang outside to provide more classroom space. For these three projects, I will need 135 square feet of 3/4 inch thick PVC and 172 square feet of 3/4 inch thick treated plywood as the main materials.
With that said, I need the funds to buy quality materials to make this project long-lasting and effective. If you are interested in contributing, you can buy and bring some of the plywood down to the SYSC or you can donate money for the rest of the materials. The plywood will cost approximately $250. The PVC will likely cost around $1000 and the other miscellaneous materials will cost around $350, which brings the total amount needed to $1600.
